Godsent "Daddy"

Okay so here's the thing. I promised this morning on the way to our trip that I am going to upload pictures and write a little something about what would happen today so as promised here it is..

The day before March 14, 2009, my mom told us about this "mananambal" living somewhere in Compostela, he's very well known and respected in his place thus people calls him "daddy". They say he could read palms, cure diseases and even predict ones future. So without any hesitations I told my mom that I wanna try it out. I sacrificed not watching the "Pacquiao-Clottey" fight just to go to the mountains to meet daddy.

Before reaching to the said place, we've encountered so many trials. First of which was having a flat tire on our way there. We stopped over at Marcelo Fernan bridge luckily a Holiday taxi driver with plate number GXJ 691, pulled over and helped us change our spare tire. God works in mysterious ways, I must say. He sent us a good samaritan. Though He gave us our first trial, still he finds ways to help us. The taxi driver didn't even accept the small token of cash we gave him for doing the job. He said "kinasing-kasing na pagtabang iya gihatag" (he helped us heartily without wanting anything in return) Boy, in this generation you hardly could find someone like that. So, off to our destination.. We arrived there at around 10.30.. Here are couple of pics..

We needed to climb over the mountain with 163 steps under the heat of the sun. That didn't stop us either. Then we finally got there, prayed in their little chapel and off to daddy's place. Second trial was waiting. Someone told us that daddy hasn't been seen by them since yesterday because he was feeling ill and nobody knows if he's going to come out and talk to us or not. Another bummer huh?!? But with faith and hope, we waited for him to arrive. And so he did came out and talk to everybody regarding their respective problems and concerns. It was pretty amazing. He seem to know everything just by looking at you and reading people's name from a piece of paper. Get to try palm reading by daddy. I really hope everything he said will be true :D

A view from the top of the mountain..

After knowing everything from daddy, we asked permission so we could go home. On our way to SRP, the final trial happened. Another flat tire..

Is this coincidence or just too unlucky?!?

We waited for about 4 hours in SRP, we need to borrow from our neighbor's spare tire because the tires we had could not be fix by vulcate. After everything, we got home around 10pm had dinner together then I had to drive my mom back home to Opon and go back to Talisay again. Got home at around 1am and now making this journal.

To wrap everything up.. It will still depend on how great and big your faith in the Lord will be. After surpassing all trials just for today, I realized that amidst our difficulties, God is always with US. Have Faith and Trust in HIM..

Goodnight..
